Dorsale ou gilet airbag : ce que ça change en cas de chute
Une dorsale moto CE absorbe et répartit l'énergie d'un choc. Niveau 2 (ex. EIZOX Defender, NEMESIS) : moins de 9 kN transmis au corps, contre 18 kN pour le niveau 1. Un gilet airbag se gonfle en quelques millisecondes et couvre aussi le thorax, les côtes et les clavicules, zones non couvertes par une dorsale seule. Pour les femmes : des coupes pensées pour elles
La VALKYRIA et le Gilet STAR sont construits sur des coupes féminines spécifiques intégrant des protections CE niveau 2 aux emplacements clés. Une protection qui se déplace lors d'un impact ne protège plus rien : la tenue du gilet est aussi importante que la certification. Les deux modèles assurent une circulation d'air correcte pour les journées chaudes.
CE Niveau 1 ou 2 : ce que ça veut dire
Selon la norme EN 17092, le niveau 1 transmet jusqu'à 18 kN au corps, le niveau 2 descend à 9 kN. Niveau 2 recommandé si tu roules souvent, longtemps ou à vitesse élevée. Quelle différence réelle entre dorsale CE niveau 1 et niveau 2 ?
Niveau 1 : max 18 kN transmis au corps. Niveau 2 : max 9 kN, soit la moitié. Sur route, le niveau 2 est la référence. Le niveau est indiqué sur chaque fiche produit.
Un gilet airbag remplace-t-il une dorsale ?
Un airbag couvre dos, thorax et côtes, offrant une protection plus large. Il nécessite un déclenchement et une cartouche CO2 en bon état. Pour les trajets courts, un gilet CE niveau 2 suffit souvent. Le gilet fluo est-il obligatoire en moto en France ?

Peut-on porter un sac à dos par-dessus un gilet airbag ?
Sur un gilet classique, oui, à condition de ne pas décaler les protections dorsales. Sur un airbag, un sac trop ajusté peut gêner le gonflage. Préférer un top-case ou des sacoches latérales, ou vérifier la compatibilité du modèle.

Oui. Après déclenchement, remplacer la cartouche CO2 33G standard et vérifier la chambre gonflable suffit pour repartir équipé. Les cartouches de rechange sont disponibles séparément dans la collection.
Un gilet de protection peut-il s'utiliser sous un blouson ?
Les modèles fins à profil ajusté (NEMESIS, EIZOX Defender) sont conçus pour se glisser sous un blouson textile ou cuir. Les gilets airbag et modèles structurés se portent généralement par-dessus. Vérifier que les protections restent bien positionnées dans leur logement.
Comment entretenir un gilet de protection moto ?
La plupart des gilets textiles sont lavables en machine à 30°C après retrait des protections rigides. Les protections elles-mêmes s'essuient avec un chiffon humide. Pour les gilets airbag, suivre les instructions du fabricant : certaines chambres gonflables ne supportent pas l'immersion.
